La Gran Rosa triumphs in the new report of the prestigious British publication, Decanter, reaching the brilliant rating of 96 points, a score that positions the new wine from Izadi as the great rosé of Rioja.
Just a few weeks ago Bodegas Izadi announced the launch of its latest elaboration, and not just another one: a premium and limited edition rosé, in magnum format, which comes with the aim of setting a precedent by revolutionizing the rosé panorama. Only a month later, the prestigious British publication Decanter has already positioned La Gran Rosa as the great rosé of Rioja, after awarding it a score of 96 points.
The brilliant score received by La Gran Rosa 2024 does not come by chance. This first vintage represents the birth of an exclusive rosé, made with the care, technique and concern that Bodegas Izadi has cultivated for more than a decade, since it surprised the market with its already emblematic Larrosa Rosé.
La Gran Rosa is the new bet of Bodegas Izadi: a limited edition of only 1,280 bottles in magnum format, born from a co-fermentation of red Garnacha and white Garnacha, and a slight aging in barrel with its lees. The grapes come from two very special vineyards -the same ones that gave rise to Larrosa Rosé-, to which an old white garnacha vineyard planted in 1952 is added.
