Izadi was born out of a passion for gastronomy and an admiration for the lush, exuberant nature that flourishes in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, one of the most privileged areas of the DOCa Rioja. There, surrounded by old vineyards, Bodegas Izadi harness the exceptional conditions afforded by the land to produce unique, well-balanced, versatile wines. Vineyard:

Selection of low-yield vineyards of garnacha vines (30 has.) which grow at high altitude, planted around 1960.

Varieties:

100% Garnacha.

Tasting Notes:

Pale pink colour with violet rim. Red fruit intense aroma; strawberry, raspberry, cherry; as well as white flowers and reminiscences of stone fruit as apricot and peach. On the palate, intense and pleasant with fresh fruit and floral hints. Subtle and lingering; it shows good acidity with everlasting finish.

100% Garnacha.

Tasting Notes:

Yellow colour with lemon highlights. Opulent and fresh. Citrus zest, pear,
honeysuckle and mineral hints. Succulent fruit and good acidity.

100% Garnacha Blanca.

Tasting Notes:

Yellow colour with lemon highlights. Opulent and fresh. Citrus zest, pear,

Cherry red colour with medium depth. Aroma of fresh red fruit and lavender with spices and cocoa. A fruity and nice wine in the palate. Velvety and a long finish.

Varieties:

61% Viura, 11% Maturana Blanca, 10% Tempranillo Blanco, 8% Garnacha Blanca, 5% Malvasía and 5% Turruntés.

Tasting Notes:

Lemon yellow in colour with bright green tones. Succulent white and tropical fruit, citrus, floral notes, and deep toasty and spicy aromas at the back. On the palate, it is a refreshing and flavourful wine with high structure, citrus and white fruit notes with a refreshing end with white flowers and lightly toasted reminiscences.


Vineyard:

Head of old vineyards located in Villabuena and Samaniego and recovered vineyards of native varieties of Rioja. Around 1960. 178 has. Goblet training.

Varieties:

61% Viura, 11% Maturana Blanca, 10% Tempranillo Blanco, 8% Garnacha Blanca, 5% Malvasía and 5% Turruntés.

Tasting Notes:

Lemon yellow in colour with bright green tones. Succulent white and tropical fruit, citrus, floral notes, and deep toasty and spicy aromas at the back. On the palate, it is a refreshing and flavourful wine with high structure, citrus and white fruit notes with a refreshing end with white flowers and lightly toasted reminiscences.

Intense ruby red color. Very complex nouse with layers of ripe dark fruit, smoke and toasted oak. On the palate the wine is very elegant, with soft tannins and a silky texture, with aromas of ripe fruit, herbs and toasted oak, leading to a long and elegant finish.

Varieties:

Viura and Malvasia from single vineyard El Regalo, cultivated on the head of the parcel.

Tasting Notes:

Straw yellow with grayish reminiscences. Great aromatic complexity with notes of manzanilla, ripe pineapple, white truffle, almonds and white pepper. On the palate the wine is unctuous and very aromatic, with notes of spice, toasted almond and ripe white fruit; its lively acidity provides balance and a timeless finish. Excellent to enjoy now and with great cellaring potential, as it will reach a brilliant maturity in the next 10-15 years.
